i'm able to watch yt videos and browse the internet/discord just fine while downloading

but even if i close out of everything and leave only the game launcher, it still only downloads in KBps 🤷‍♀️

in a reply i said it did, but then its can be choppy if the vpn drops at all and causes the update to fail

but why would the ports be throttled for downloading, but not playing the game itself?

something tells me it has to do with the launchers and caribbean internet, but its baffling truly i dont remember issues like this in past terms

once i turn on a vpn to anywhere else i get back into the megabytes, but then i have to fight with it dropping and failing the update

can anyone explain to me why my wifi download speeds are normal everywhere BUT when i download a game's update??

~30mbps download speed according to speedtest, can browse, download files from mozilla, and play online games just fine

but the second i have to download a game it's 5KBPS if im lucky

It’s been several years now since i’ve personally done any streaming, but the back of my brain thinks it remembers something with bitrates and feed settings on twitch and/or obs, if those are what you’re using. Could maybe play around with those to see if the vod fps changes
