I met with Patrick Pierson, the chairman of the Veterans Advisory Council, to discuss the council's recently finalized legislative priorities. These initiatives are essential for enhancing the lives of veterans and their families in Frederick County. We reviewed these priorities and shared key data.

Finally, the Frederick County Health Department (FCHD) will conduct free sanitary surveys of wells for Adamstown residents who have raised concerns about their water quality, along with their immediate neighbors.
Second, we will hold listening sessions in Adamstown and Frederick after the Council completes its work on the overlay, allowing residents to share their ideas on community benefits related to the data center development at the East Alcoa site.
I shared 3 key policy announcements: First, Frederick County is advancing the development of a seven-acre site adjacent to the Prospect Center on Himes Avenue, which will provide nearly 150 affordable and deeply affordable homes near the County’s future hub for health, aging, and family services.

I proclaimed Business Appreciation Week, and our Frederick County Office of Economic Development team and I will be out visiting local businesses! Our businesses are the heart of our community, and each visit underscores the vital role they play in driving innovation and growth in Frederick County.

This morning, I joined Mobilize Frederick and others for the first stop on their Regenerative Farm Tour at Stone Pillar Farm. It was a pleasure meeting owners Mike and Abby Fahrner, hearing from them about starting the farm, the success of their CSA, and their approach to diversified farming.
I had the privilege of joining State Senator Cory McCray at Hood College for a discussion about his book, The Apprenticeship That Saved My Life. He emphasized how programs like apprenticeships can create opportunities for students, like those who may be overlooked by traditional education paths.
