Terrifying. How 4 untrained civilian tech bros just leapfrogged 16 ranks to Lieutenant Colonel in order to gain access to US military databases without having to jump through any pesky oversight hoops.

I was down the road at an all-ages gig waiting for the first band to start playing when the river of ambulances and sirens started whipping up Fraser. Sending strength, love, and the sincerest of condolences to all the families waking up to the horror of losing a loved one.🕊️💕🫂 #Vancouver #LapuLapu

We went through this in Toronto, Vancouver & I know how you are feeling. Don’t obsess over footage. Make sure your people are safe. If you have anxiety meds, take them. Reading everything available all night will make you crazy. A hug 🫂 or icepack on the chest will help calm your nervous system.

Crazy that an op-ed gets one deported from 🇺🇸, kidnapped by masked men while walking down the street, and sent to a jail halfway across the country in defiance of explicit orders from a judge these days…
Praying for peace and light in these dark times. #elbowsup

Your good new story for the day.
I just received a message from a landlord in Florida. He has lost over $30,000 in rentals since Canadians began the boycott.
Canadians are doing their part.
LET'S TAKE THE BOYCOTT INTERNATIONAL.
We invite allied nations to boycott all things American.

Saw someone say, "End your friendships with people who are going about life like nothing is wrong." I will never understand people who think that further isolating ourselves from everyday people who don't get it is going to save us. It's not. Your judgment and disdain will not save us.

Canadians and Americans fought together against fascists in Spain.
The "fighting Canucks" were in the Mackenzie–Papineau brigade. The Americans in the Lincoln brigade.
Nilo Makela, a miner from my town was a battle leader.
He fought and died with Milton Herndon a steelworker from Chicago.

The times we’re in, with Trump’s “51st state” talk and a Russian mood of devil-may-care expansionism, have me thinking it’s high time I rewatch “Occupied”. Canada’s resources make us highly vulnerable to the kind of silk glove invasion depicted in the series. Gulp.

A good, workhorse building we should build more of: Either 12 units for singles or 6 family-sized units. Everyone gets a balcony. Easily fits on a standard 5,000 square-foot lot. Fits around six parking spaces in the back. And yet, illegal to build in the typical US residential neighborhood.

But he can't tell you where to spend your money.
His economy needs our tourism $$.

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) is the largest purchaser of wine by dollar value in the world.
The LCBO has shut the flow of all American beer, wine, spirits.
