I think the deep error we make in politics is expecting emotional reactivity to bring good results. It doesn't. Not to say emotions are bad, but reacting sans reasoning on the situation leads us astray. We need to stop choosing leaders because they make us feel good. We need to grow emotional muscle

I get these big 30K+ accounts following me & I usually ignore them. But today one of them liked my last three posts. But this is from a pro-science news account that just liked three woo posts of mine, which tells me that they don't read them, that it is a bot trying to trick me into a followback. 🤨

The last thing I want in my home is a humanoid robot. Talk to me when you make a robot washer/dryer where I dump dirty clothes in one end, and it pops out clean/dry/folded clothes on the other end. And I don't need it to connect to the internet or talk, just clothes.

Every time Hakeem Jeffries' office posts something, a bunch of hysterical people start posting, blaming him for the stuff Trump and his Republican House & Congress and SCOTUS are doing. 🙄
I just block these people, if they can't fathom the mechanics of politics why would I read anything they post?🤷

The bit I don't understand is all the talk of impeachment. It hasn't really ever made an impact, just a few judges.
The problem, I think, is that it is from an era before parties and when everybody in government was from a high social rank where they assumed everyone agreed on ethics and morals. 🤷

From 19-29 I worked as an artist. Went back to school for CS. The *first* thing they taught me in my first CS course was that my role was to be able to determine what was easy and proven to work, what was hard or undecidable, and what was unknowable. That's something I've used constantly since then.

When I went to university in the late 70s I found my way to arts & music crowd, which was exciting & where I met many life friends. Some folks were constantly on about "imperialism" but they were OK with whatever the USSR or Mao did. 🤷

Every time I see "Democrat Party" I know the speaker is not interested in debate, discourse or normal politics, but bullying and insults and forcing some vile crap on others. It's a tell. I did 10 years doing print production and developed the irritating ability to detect imperfect non-90° alignments, it would just gnaw at me at a low level. Also negative spacing. And especially kerning. So much poor work out there these days, even decades later it feels like I live in crazy town! 🙄🙈
