Elliott is starting to gain weight and the fur is starting to grow back. He's obviously active and playful so it looks like we are on the mend! ❤️
This butthead has been 💩ing in his water intentionally... And LAUGHING while he does it!
That's odd. Let's try again.
Thanks for the heads up!
Please, would you mind voting for us? The only thing I ask is that you do not pay for additional votes as there is some question about the authenticity of the site holding the contest. A free vote costs nothing but a moment of your time.

Hi Again!
Stu's photo has made it to the Semi Finals but we need your help. A win would give FourWands Wildlife Rehabilitation a $10K donation accordingly to the contest. That's absolutely huge for us!

If he doesn't start gaining with a week or two, he may be making a trip to Cornell for a comprehensive workup.
In the meantime I have discovered his weakness! He LOVES sugar snap peas!
While he is a baby, he's probably closer to 9-10 weeks based on his behavior. He took formula when he first arrived but now he's made it clear he is NOT a bottle baby. 😁
Internal parasites have been a problem this year likely due to the extreme drought we are experiencing in Northern New England. (It has been the driest summer in recorded history here.)
The other thing is... He's not as young as he looks or his weight belies.
Elliott is a bit of an enigma.
You can see he is losing fur - something that often happens in cases of malnutrition. He's going through treatment for internal parasites and hopefully after that he will start gaining and regrowing his coat.
You can just tell she's enjoying life. I am so glad I can provide that for her. ❤️
Look at Crumpet's happy little face.
A squirrel with her disabilities - vision impairment and a neurological condition - wouldn't last long in the wild. Crumpet lucked out. She's got a soft warm nest, plenty of food and toys and no predators to fear.
He needed patience so he could see no one was going to hurt him so I talked quietly to him. Here's the result. ❤️
And when put him back in his cage, he started growling at me again. Just like Phil. ❤️ 😁
I got all kinds of grief yesterday (over on Facebook). I was accused of "teasing" Elliott and, in their "infinite wisdom", some told me that I should just "let him go".
Elliott is scared little guy. Imagine getting your face fractured and then getting picked up by a scary human.
My little Crumpet.
She may not see very well and she may wobble a bit but she knows how to party. ❤️
Hmmm. Having trouble uploading video. Anyone else?
Elliott informed me this morning that my days were numbered... Just as soon as he's had his bubba. 🍼 😁
Thank you for asking. ❤️
I'm doing ok. Still very tired but no pain related to surgery.
I'm slowly trying to bring myself back to the real world. ❤️
