[hc] More musings since I'm thinking about it, but Makoh'to's family migrating to Gridania is very much a parallel to my parents' generation coming to the US in the 70s. It's like. Well. I guess it's better than what they were going through, but it still has plenty of its own issues.

[hc] There's a funeral rite detail that I've been thinking about since Makoh'to is in Gridania at the beginning of ARR for the 100 days ceremony after his mother's passing. (Gridania is where his family migrated to avoid encroaching imperial forces btw!) Anyways, he'd have shaved his head for the-

I'm very grateful not just today but everyday for what I love (drawing) has led me to so many new (and even old!!) friends. My own personal case of "do what you love and the rest will follow" 😊Picking up new skills, continually learning and working on myself, being content with my work...!

I've got no gas in the tank for the rest of this year for anything outside of owed work, maaaybe 1-2 flash cmsns, and polishing up my next set of gaius merch but maybe next year is finally the year I initiate some trades. I blew my 'getting cmsns' budget for some time, so maybe trading will scratch-

a hard pill to swallow is accepting that not everyone is going to fw you. even if you haven't wronged them. there are always going to be people that just don't like you. it sucks but it's true. the sooner u accept this and focus on the ppl you care about the sooner you will find peace

That one time an allied society quest mentioned specifically spicy kai jiao! Makoh'to's native tongue confirmed! (Not that I need the game to confirm it, but it's a little fun!!) It pairs nicely with my hc that Makoh'to prefers hamsa meat over dodo and it is NOT the same! (Game quote in reply-)

Something I'm just noodling on in between other things but I realized I could just use a premade mesh texture as a base for the lace (+liquify tool) and am so excited to mindlessly scribble on a design!
