Why Catherine? A properly functioning moral compass. Sharp as a tack. But you have to want it (not a LOT, but at least a little). I understand.

Color me "Open" right now. But '26 may make '28 meaningless.

Once again, because it apparently needs repetition:

We, are social primates. On our own, dead social primates. Some form of 'socialism' then, should be second nature to us.

Were it not for those of extreme privilege who deliberately confuse it with excesses it is only tangentally related to.
At today's GOP presser, Mike Johnson links Mamdani to Obama, "who made health care unaffordable with his own socialist scheme."

Calling subsidized private health insurance a socialist scheme is a quick way to show everyone that when you decry "socialism," you just mean anything that helps people.

All that hydraulic shit that was used on the East Wing?

The Supreme Court is begging for it.

Tear the place down.

The US needs, like the UK, a "shadow government".

After all, you already have a shadow court.

You're not gonna show us the play that resulted in the leg injury on the first Chiefs/Texans play?

Why?

Are you trying to disguise that the NFL is a fucking violent game, and that most people watch it because it's violent?

People deserve to see what they are watching. & its results.

Ultimately, I decided to take the risk. But I took only 50% of the risk I was considering.

I mean, I live in Japan. I can maybe have the bastard killed if he defaults, right? 😂😜
What I'm (slightly considering here, obviously) is a reach, with only about 10% of bond assets, to try and juice up the yield a bit & have some shorter term paper. But this "Genius Act" isn't, & a big reason I'm rebalancing from equities. A small-ish piece, but no one wants to give away $, right?
Was considering some Softbank secondary paper (2.48 coupon at 2.558 yield (99.77) due Feb 2029, but while this is a good coupon for Japan, Softbank's involvement with Tether scares the bejesus out of me. Even 3-year-two-month paper. Unsecured & subordinated. Would you risk a piece?

This Bears unit is a big-boy, grownup team. Take them lightly at your peril.

Plus side: The "touch" toss to Loveland for the TD is one of those passes Caleb as screwed up in the past. He didn't. But others, he did. He's still more comfortable throwing a fast ball than a change up.
I penciled it as a loss. Packers are not spoiled cheese.

But we played them very tough, esp in the 2nd half. One really blown coverage, and too many missed tackles. And love out-passed Caleb.

Now Cleveland is a must-win, at Soldier, and then we'll see these same guys again on our turf.

Actually, there is an "Electrical Parade" every evening at Tokyo Disneyland. 😲😂
I know it's the 7th in the USA of course. But it was the 8th on our side of the dateline.

A friend of mine: "We 'celebrate' it on the 8th."

Narrator: "'Celebrate'? Like the beginning of the end?"

Me: There are no parades.
I'm the only one who thinks this looks & smells like a market top? I mean, not an 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 top, cuz those are unknowable except in hindsight. But, close enough for 'government work'?

Yomiuri: Japan's SMFG to Invest 1 Trillion Yen in IT Over 3 Years

Narrator: Tomorrow (the 8th) is "Pearl Harbor Day".

I knew this guy at Georgetown. Gawd, he wanted to get into med school. But his MCAT scores said "So sorry."

So he became a Chiropractor.

Side note: He was a door-to-door encyclopedia salesman in the summers between school terms. Anyone see a ... connection? 😀😜

Japan's PM (Takaichi) has released claims of net worth around 30,000,000 yen. This only about 200K USD, and smells very much like horseshit.

But mass media here is unquestioning.

Most independent (non-Japanese sources) say between 2-4 million USD.

Narrator: "Fish rot from the head."

Caveat Hannibal Lecter.
1) Anonymous sources, so caveat lector.

2) What he says now to avoid confessing a crime is hardly as meaningful as documentation/recordings of the decision.

3) What's described here is *still* a crime! You can't just execute people because you claim they're "attempting to continue their drug run."
