What's fascinating is these munsons are totally willing to respect an artist's guidelines and TOS up until completion. Once it's done, it's: "Oh well, uhh I own it now. What's a TOS?"

Then when hit with backlash: "Well, I can just use AI to replicate your style, so...🖕" (7/8)

If an artist is perfectly fine with their art being used by the commissioner in whatever way they want, that's fine too. I am not one of those artists. And many others aren't either.

If respecting an artist's simple request is so hard for you, maybe you're the problem. (6/8)

Whether or not you are bound by a contract, TOS, or other legal conventions, there exist things called respect, courtesy, and basic human decency.

If an artist explicitly says they DON'T WANT their art altered, trained for AI, etc. Just respect their wish. Costs nothing. (5/8)

Do I, as the artist, not have a say in how the art is used after the fact? If you begin claiming you made it, or run it through AI and alter it in distasteful ways (e.g. dressing up the character in a Nazi uniform) — I have no recourse or say in the matter? Eat shit. (3/8)

Yes, you as a commissioner have a drawing in your possession after completion. But the idea that you can "do whatever you want with it" is insane. So, can you sell merch off that drawing and profit off of it? And I can't do anything about it? Get fucked. (2/8)
