The EPP's strong-arming worked, the bad compromise has passed, and with it any hope that corporate accountability might have been saved by the resistance of other MEPs 😑

Now it's on to the plenary next Thursday.

The trial of the 12 Ugandan activists accused of causing a public nuisance during a peaceful anti-EACOP protest has resumed.

They were arrested in August, and the case has been adjourned for another two weeks.
