Usually I have a hard time explaining to people what kind of rendering work there is in automotive that would require people from game dev to join the industry. This article is a good hint at a type of workload that benefits from hiring game devs for optimized use-cases, in my personal opinion.

Looking back to a fun week at the Graphics Programming Conference, one clear pattern whenever socializing with new folks emerged, everyone was both amazed but also horrified to an extent hearing about all the realtime 3D being done in recent cars and their respective systems.

We're sun-setting our main chat tool in favor of another. All for data and privacy compliance reasons. The odd bit being, our external partners at first didn't get access, now they are allowed in. But all of them are listed as "Unknown User". I have no idea who I'm talking to for a week now.
