I tested in RE4R and I'm not sure if that setting does anything in that game. I couldn't see a difference

I've been doing even more stuff related to the POP classics. It's taking a long time, but I'm currently reverse-engineering and re-writing the codebase for POP2. I'll make my code open-source when done and include various optional improvements to the game

Switch 2 version of #ResidentEvilRequiem was just announced. I think I would recommend this version for people who want additional horror in the game.

I'm checking out the "Black Art of 3D Game Programming" book from the 90's. It does a great job explaining how to do 3D in software (and a ton of other stuff).

One piece of text is funny to read now. FPS expectations were a bit lower back then:

Pathfinding is pretty simple in the old C&C games. If a wall is hit, a unit walks around the wall until they're on other side, and then continue towards the goal

If you find it too annoying, there are mods that replace the pathfinding with A*: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/...

Did you have a setup where this happened automatically as you played? I'd love to do something similar. It would be fun to stream the old Sierra games, but I'm not too keen on personally narrating all the text in the game
