30 yrs ago, my Trekkie status was solidified as 10 yr old me watched Captain Kathryn Janeway & her intrepid crew set off on their journey home.
Star Trek: Voyager will always hold a special place in my heart. Every character taught me something & I love them all!

Finally had time to continue reading “Open a Channel” today! I got into the Enterprise and Discovery chapters. I continue to be impressed with Nana Visitor as a storyteller and interviewer. I’ve been moved emotionally so many times during this first reading. So good!!

Finally got to start reading “Open A Channel” by Nana Visitor and I’m enthralled! Have gotten up to the Tasha Yar/Denise Crosby chapter. Cannot wait to continue! I love the perspective and insight being offered. So good!! 🖖🏻

I’m watching DS9s “The Visitor”. Such a heartbreaking episode.
I often wonder what conversations I’d have with my mom if I could, I lost her when I wasn’t much older than Jake. I do so wish that I could share with her my art and who I’ve become. I think she’d get a kick out of Flippe.

Trek’s themes on the strength of friendship and chosen family have always been so impactful to me and this week’s episode of Lower Decks really drives that point home.
