But, for this event, I would just catch for the full Hour, and try to aim for Excellent Throws to farm XP. Then, mass evolve each Pidgey to farm 2k XP with a Lucky Egg

I remember that last Pidgey Spotlight Hour had this same bonus, and I was farming XP to hit Level 50
I caught X amount of Pidgeys in the first half hour of the event, then I mass-evolved each one with a lucky egg in the last remaining half hour. Managed to earn something like 500k XP
