like it feels more than just Z-A doing texture colours somewhat differently, riolu is like deliberately darker now??

lookin at leaked party/pokedex portraits from Z-A, it seems like they fixed shiny mega lucario's yellow fur to make it a lot closer to the usual highlighter-ish yellow the line usually has instead of the dirtied green-yellow it had, which im glad

but i think they did the opposite on riolu???? 😭

Artwork of Nova, mega evolved into a Mega Raichu X. He's shown jumping through the air with teal sparks of electricity trailing off him, with a faint rainbow glow of Mega Energy around him. The background is a dark, cloudy thunderstorm, with a large bolt of lightning crackling down (though he mostly covers it up, whoops). Prism Tower is seen in the corner behind his tail. Don't think about the worldbuilding implications of it being seen with Nova. He's not meant to be there.

little design fun facts: of course, like usual mega raichu X, nova uses his pikachu colours. sorta. i did tweak the blue as well as his stomach patch's grey to more closely resemble his usual raichu colours, but otherwise the tone of dark grey and black his fur has is taken from his pikachu design. i also chose to make his eyes a sort of reddish purple, to mix his usual blurple eyes with mega-X's red.

went back to my mimikyu'd nova icon from last year and tweaked it a bit to look nicer, spooky pfp for the month back on.......

working on smth else rn but new halloween art will come later this month i promise

Small art icon of Nova, once again Mimikyu'd. Due to the crop, his disguise head mostly takes up the space, with his real eyes peeking at the bottom. He's leaning to the side a bit as he brings his claw(?) up beside him.

the main reason i went back and tweaked this was that the original source file for this art was an unfinished version, as i lost the complete one on my old computer that died. figured it was worth updating tho bc i love how i drew the little guy.......

i've got a code for shiny koraidon too, but unfortunately you can only redeem him on violet, so i'd need someone else to redeem it for me then trade it over. but because Scarlet Clears most of my friends dont have violet.

they put the SA1 and Jam skins for sxsg out later on their own for anyone to download, im sure the blue star will be the same

because otherwise if you want it first thing when games out.. you'd probably have to make a new account on a different email to reapply for the code

aside from not shutting up about mega raichu X, heres my thoughts on the other new megas
i think i'd have to rank em Raichu X > Greninja > Chesnaught > Delphox > Raichu Y

raichu y being a glorified mega pikachu makes it not click with me :(

- was skeptical about greninja's from the leaked description, but MAN does the real thing execute the concept well. really like the guy, feels like ash-greninja just done again with a more significantly changed design. i like their battle style too, ditching stealth to go all out with confidence they'll win
- chesnaught is so damn good, i love the regal look to them + the shoulderplate weapons feels raw. i like greninja more but i still do love chesnaught so im glad thats also good
- delphox's is cool im just not a delphox guy, so not much to say. cool concept and execution tho

i though this too at first but seeing as they describe MRX as being able to float, i wouldnt be surprised if the art is just showing them do just that

however i'd love to be wrong, the idea of them standing on their tails in battle ingame sounds sick. and fuels the cap connection more

regional forms are transferable in Z-A but any pokemon transferred to Z-A cant be brought back to previous games.....

aside from how dumb that restriction is (home literally has a system to negate that), its a good thing i caught a second shiny alorai in that event that i call NovaTwo

mega raichu x feels so captain pikachu coded its nuts
can float using electromagnetism (this ones obvious) + a physical attacker using electrically charged fists (cap has thunder punch)

if they do the impossible and make cap evolve JUST for this mega form it'll be insane
