Oh yes. It was launched originally at FAO Schwarz in New York City on October 18, 1985 as a test-launch. After the test-launch went well, it got launched on February 21, 1986 across the USA and Canada.

I know many U.S.-based Nintendo fans really want the Seattle Mariners to go to the MLB World Series for obvious reasons, but can I please have my Toronto Blue Jays win the ALCS so I can relive what my mom did back in 1992? It'd be nice if the Jays win the ALCS and go to the World Series.
