Horrified to receive a Reform UK leaflet tonight, and more horrified by the data viz. Fixed it for you @reformexposed.bsky.social

Last night Anna Troup won the ladies race of Race Across Scotland, finishing 4th overall.

This after outright winning the summer Spine Race in June.

After nearly 3 years out with injury.

Oh, and she's 55 for anyone thinking age makes the slightest difference in ultra events.

Inspirational!
Hooray! First #parkrun in months. And a BEAUTIFUL course at Drumpellier Country park.

For six months, I've said that threats to economic data have been more collateral damage than intentional harm.

No longer.

Firing the head of the BLS is five-alarm intentional harm to the integrity of US economic data and the entire statistical system.
v100 done. With visiting daughter in matching pink.

Thought-provoking and fascinating talk by @kevinguyan.bsky.social at tonight’s joint @rssedinburgh.bsky.social & @rssdiversity.bsky.social event; on the importance of box breakers and careful design of classification studies. Some helpful considerations ⬇️ Highly recommend his new book #rainbowtrap
Slide stating WE NEED TO...
expose the design decisions behind gender, sex and sexuality categories.
Go beyond 'adding more' options to an ever-growing list of categories.
Understand 'Prefer Not to Say' as a choice not a datapoint to be removed
Recognise those who refuse and ensure they're not harmed by saying 'no'.
Hang on, was I sitting beside you? So sorry for not saying hello 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Since this is making the rounds. Just.... no. After Jesus says, "Love your Neighbor," someone asks, "And who is my neighbor?" Jesus responds with the Parable of the Good Samaritan, in which he tells the audience that the ethnic group they hate the most are their neighbors. ⚓ #ActuallyReadTheBible
Image from X saying basically, "Your neighbor is your family."
Actually managed a S&C session with my PT this afternoon. First in about a month. So wonderful to be back outside and have my body doing stuff.
No glute tendon stuff tho!
I was greeted with delight by a former canon at Hereford as he announced that my cassock was “Hereford cathedral blue”
