On the last episode @nextlander.com brought up whether you call it "Clair Obscur" or "Expedition 33". Funny enough before I played it I called it the former when talking to my son about it and then switched to the latter after playing it

A friend of my parents supplied us with our family's first PC and many more after that. I've been a software developer for 20 years now. That man went home from the hospital today on comfort care likely to die in the next few weeks. I'm going to him tomorrow to tell him what he meant to me.

A little over 10 years ago, The Dissolve shuttered and we started a niche movie podcast that only we had the power to shut down. This week, we celebrate the 500th episode of The Next Picture Show with a special episode on the film that inspired the title: megaphone.link/FILM9131237121

I wrote about my friend Paul Abbamondi, who was a friend and frequent contributor to First Hour. He passed away back in 2019 but I still think about him often, especially around writing about games. And Suikoden II. I miss you. firsthour.net/blog/remembe...
Remembering Paul Abbamondi | First Hour

Japan's "Mundane Halloween" costume contest is back!

Each year website DailyPortalZ holds a contest where people dress up as something super duper ordinary.
