Highlights from our weekend fossil hunts! #fossilhunting
An arrangement of fossils on a white background. There is a large vertebra (we think is from a dugong) and ten shark teeth representing five species: megalodon, mako (sp?), angustidens, bull shark, and hemipristis.

Found glass from my latest batch: #rocktumbling #rockpolishing
Seven pieces of found glass on a white background. Three are light blue-green and the other four are green. Possibly from Coke and beer bottles. Tabby has polished them so there are no sharp edges, only smooth rounded corners.

Oops, misread. Nope, it's where a seashell filled up with mud that hardened. The shell wore away with time but basically left a cement cast behind.

Oops, glanced at social media and now I want to sleep for 100 years, classic blunder

Yep, she and her sister are from Dorchester Paws, a local animal shelter.

Haha, I think you're right. I'll do it!

Funny you should say that. I accidentally cut myself on it!

I'm building it as an example project for my portfolio and want to keep it at least kinda professional. The paw would be cute, though! So I dunno.

I think one of my moots deactivated after a really bad night. I hope they're ok. 😥

Haven't had very much luck lately, but here are some fossils from the last few days. #fossilhunting
Seven fossils on a white background. There is a pretty, cream-colored seashell cast, a flat black piece of bone, and several shark teeth. The largest shark tooth is broken down the middle.

Oh, hell yeah! I didn't clock that the two Chrono photos were of separate items

Yesss, both excellent choices

I'm making a human years to cat years calculator page and I'm so tempted to give it a cat paw cursor like it's 1998.

Do you use the AI profile labeler? I've found it very handy for times when I need to ignore some dumb posts.

Wowww, I'm trying to imagine how big a box would have to be to last 5 years

Saw a wild rainbow scarab today (Phanaeus vindex)! It was magnificent! ...But it was also on the smelliest dog poop ever. I couldn't even get close to it. So here are some photos from Google.
A photo of a rainbow scarab's side profile. It's an iridescent mix of green, blue, yellow, and orange. There is a notable long, backwards-curved horn on its forehead. A photo of a rainbow scarab in someone's palm. It's an iridescent mix of green, yellow, and orange. There is a notable long, black, backwards-curved horn on its forehead.

I can't say because he's on here and it would be so embarrassing if he read it!

Again with this soft cute man! Get outta my head! I don't have a chance! We will never meet!

(We held hands and laughed and I tried to get him alone, ehehehe)

Dreamed about my celebrity crush again last night. I felt bold and went for a cuddle, but he seemed merely ok with it, not like he was truly enjoying it. Woke up with the hit to my self esteem still stinging.

A lot of feelings that are more than words

(I guess, in a way, #paleoart)
A digital drawing, few simple drawings on a dark background. From top to the bottom, it starts with half of the Earth seen with its continents being placed like in the Middle Ordovician. Below it is a line, showing a process of life - from one little star, to dividing cells, to an embryo (it's all different creatures - fish, dog, tadpole, and a human).
Then, series of little drawings, showing different stages of life in different things. A plant emerging from the soil, a larvae, baby birds with their bright open mouths, pregnant horse with a star on its belly, very old human, and a dry plant in a pot with a leaf falling from it.
A fossil of a crinoid can be seen on the background, in some places nicely preserved, in some - scattered around, with segments seen as little stars.
The text on the picture says: "Let sunshine touch the memory of me again" Following the previous part of it, from top to the bottom: mammal bones scattered around, a fossil of a trilobite on a rock, human remains, a piece of a fossilized plant, little drawing of an ammonite, a part of a thylacine seen in a little square, and in a square next to it - plate with fossilized fish, being shattered.
Below them is a line - an ornitomimus running forward, its fossilized remains, and on the right - same remains, but scattered around in little pieces.
The text goes through the drawing, saying "I will remain. I will remain. I will remain"
The first phrase is written normally, the second is written fast. The last one is poorly written by my left hand, without looking at the screen.
