Use the AHD toolkit to engage in the CCM process, ask hard questions, and ensure no one is left behind. Your presence at the table is not symbolic. It is how change happens, and your voice is urgently needed. Access it here: bit.ly/AHDAdvocacyT...
CCMs are where funding decisions take shape, but too often they happen without full community participation. The AHD toolkit is your guide to change that. From email templates to budget checklists, it helps you step into the GC7 process with clarity and purpose.Access it here: bit.ly/AHDAdvocacyT...
Today the Fights AIDS Coalition (FAC), AfroCAB and the Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) hosted an important session at #IAS2025 🇷🇼 where they called for Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) to be declared a public health emergency 🚨 as outlined in the AHD statement! bit.ly/4lntKDU

Community silence is not neutral. It creates space for cuts to essential HIV services. As GC7 reprioritisation starts, make sure your voice is heard. Ask for the reallocation letters, and use the AHD toolkit to speak confidently. Advocacy works when we show up.

Decisions about the Global Fund Grant Cycle 7 HIV funding are happening right now often, communities are left out of the room.
The Advanced HIV Disease Advocacy Toolkit shows you how to review funding revisions, and push back. It is how we protect lives.

📢 African civil society has spoken. Over 40 organisations across 13 countries have come together to declare: Advanced HIV Disease ( #AHD) is a public health emergency. We know what works. Lives are still being lost. It’s time to act.

Advanced HIV Disease isn’t just a health indicator, it’s a political signal. It tells us where systems are failing.

It shows us where communities are being ignored.

And it reminds us: silence is deadly.

As global attention shifts and funding declines, AHD is being pushed off the agenda. We’re calling on governments and donors to:
✔️ Restore CD4 testing
✔️ Train frontline HCW
✔️ Fund integrated, community-led AHD services

Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) is still claiming lives, but it doesn’t have to.
We must prioritize AHD with timely testing, access treatment, and community support.

This is why FAC is pushing for policies, funding, and action to end deaths from AHD. #FightAIDSNow
In April, we partnered with @gnpplus.bsky.social and AFROCAB to co-host the Advanced HIV Disease Regional Advocacy Meeting in Nairobi 🇰🇪.

This engagement brought together community networks to build the capacity of implementing partners on AHD.

We are just getting started. #FightAIDSNow
We are excited to officially launch the Fight AIDS Coalition on social media! 🥳
In the past few months, we have worked CSOs and grassroot networks to build FAC.

Our aim is to prioritise funding, programming, and guidance on Advanced HIV Diseases.

We are ready to work!
Stay tuned for more! 🔥
