I don't have any guilt about throwing them out btw, as a librarian that's just what you do with books that aren't serving anyone. But it seems like a potential wasted opportunity for art!

I'm having the same issue with my Neil Gaiman books 😭 I think I'll keep them in the basement until inspiration strikes. Maybe I'll use them to grow mushrooms.

I'm finally weeding my Harry Potter books from the back corner of my bookshelf, but I'm not sure what to do with them. It feels irresponsible to put them in a Little Free Library. Anyone have creative ideas for repurposing old books?

This week in 1988: 1,000+ ACT UP demonstrators shut down the FDA headquarters, demanding (and eventually winning) action on developing HIV/AIDS treatments. ACT UP's militant and creative actions always included powerful visual artwork, and paved the way for movements in the decades to come.
