Was planning to share this a bit later, as I didn’t want to take up too much space while 299 students—as well as journalists, politicians, and architects—are being unlawfully imprisoned in my country by a corrupt and inhumane government.
j'ai déposé mon dossier pour mon titre au mois de mai, voilà où on en est. je ne sais toujours pas si je vais pouvoir rester en france l'année prochaine. ce système non seulement me dégoute mais aussi me rend malade, physiquement. mon corps ne supporte vraiment pas ce stresse, j'en peux plus.

I don’t want to complain about it too much but after five years, I still feel like an outsider among French critics and when I go back to Turkey, I feel the same because Turkish critics always tend to ignore me and never acknowledge the work I’ve been doing. It’s exhausting.

cahiers has Nadav Lapid's yes on their cover in the new issue. and while I can see why some people think it's an important and urgent film, I don't see them ever talking about Palestinian cinema, let alone putting a palestinian film on their cover.
