Continuing to advocate for global recognition of kidney health.

Although there has been a delay in the adoption of the political declaration on NCDs at #HLM4 on non-communicable diseases, it is now expected to move to a General Assembly vote for adoption as a resolution in the coming weeks.

The 78th World Health Assembly #WHA78 takes place May 19–27 in Geneva.

A proposed resolution, led by Guatemala and cosponsored by 19 countries, calls for global action on kidney disease, which affects 850M people and is projected to become the 5th leading cause of death by 2050
