Bottom right is an exclusive (and really good) New Order remix which I bought for 50p in order to flip. Turns out it is worth at least... 75p. Oh well, early retirement will have to wait a bit longer.

Huntingdon is my nearest market town. It's a rather nice little town centre with half a dozen great charity shops, the fantastic Cromwell museum, and I got married in Hinchingbrooke House (Cromwell's childhood home - here's a picture of it in the sunshine). Not everybody there is a stabby nutter.

Oh good grief! I once got some stick from a woman as I exited a disabled loo in Tesco (gents was busy). A quick “would you like to see a picture of my ulcerated intestines, I have one on my phone?” soon shut her up.

Agreed. The AT120, which is basically an old-style Technics 1210, is a *lot* better than the AT60. Or consider a Rega Planar 3 for a sonic upgrade, but it is manual speed change and needs an external phono stage. My recent experience of Pro-Ject decks is not great and they are no longer cheap.

Me too! I've lost count of how many MFP £1 bargains I've bought, only to find it is a re-sleeved, re-titled, re-press of something I already have as an original. I keep my local chazza fed with stock...

On Monday I was in Oxfam and a chap looking for first-edition AA Milne books asked me if there was anything decent in the two boxes of LPs on the floor. "Not really - either overpriced or tat for a quid." He then followed me from chazza to chazza for the next hour. Lazy git.

My brain seems to function best with pictures not words, so I rather like being able to quickly flick through the album sleeves without having to turn my head 90 degrees to read the spines.

To be fair, they're offering lots of useful advice, such as: "if you have never towed a caravan before, don't start now." I never had any intention, but good to know all the same.

Hired a campervan. Went to the NEC show. Spent a weekend in the Cotswolds. Bought some chazza tat.I used to spend weeks in Evesham during my Beeb days but it is now a bit of a dump, I am sad to say.
