Got another rejection from a basic customer service job today that never even interviewed me, while the government continues debating if they should gut my health insurance, and I am simply not having a good time, chat. I don’t know what any of us are expected to do.

Thought about it and discussed with some friends and decided not to make this one. I already said what I wanted to say on socials, and nobody who was hostile there is suddenly going to be open-minded to a long-form video version. Gonna focus on making things that bring me joy.

He definitely could’ve checkmated me with 5LK xx L Jinrai after the overhead that hit, and then he had multiple opportunities to super, but people don’t expect you to play aggressive when you’re this close to dead.

Also down 60 MR, but considering what a bad night this has been, still holding around 50% and ending the night at 1750 really isn't that bad. I just hate feeling like I have these breakthroughs alongside nevertheless continuing to fail really simple knowledge checks.

Extremely bad night online for me. Went 1-2 in TNS (lost to extremely aggressive Ken and a Juri that I let jump waaaay too much,) then got double eliminated at 2nd in redemption bracket by basic JP stuff that I still am completely failing to deal with adequately. Feels bad, man.

At one local on stream, I heard two commentators, laughing, agree that “nobody should be playing modern unless they’re crippled.” Attitudes like this, even in jest, actively hurt disabled gamers AND discourage newbies from using simpler controls to try learning the game.

Adding to this, nobody owes you a doctor’s note to play modern. Not everyone is even diagnosed. “I’m only unkind to people who use modern and don’t need it” just means you are unkind to anyone who isn’t eager to volunteer private medical info. And it is IN THE GAME for ANYBODY.

Of course there are disabled gamers who play Classic. But the authority on what hurts, what is inconsistent even after prolonged practice, or what simply kills the fun due to execution barrier, is the person playing. Be kind.

What if you were doing all your inputs with one hand? Or one side of your body was slower to respond when coordinating complex motions than the other? Or repetitive motion caused you pain or cramping sooner than the Viper threshold? Exercise empathy.

Please think about that the next time you want to dunk on a disabled gamer who should “just learn Classic.”

What’s easy to you can feel like Viper to someone with physical challenges.
