I don’t really like to talk about goals or New Year’s resolutions so I’m just posting this to have some accountability for myself.

In 2025 I want to think more and spend less time on autopilot.

Java / JDK is free for personal and devleopment use. Why do I have to create an Oracle account to download the installer where company name is a required field? WTF?

i think the articles are mostly getting the vibe right. but atproto and bluesky do things that seem like logical contradictions

- decentralized *and* cohesive
- algorithmic *and* with choice

I'm really enjoying building with websockets from the start rather than adding them as an afterthought.

How do you become an early riser?

I’m starting to get frustrated with replacement AirPods.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I can get at most one to pair.
I’m starting to think the problem is with my existing right AirPod, not the replacement I got for the left one.

I experimented a little with websockets in @nuxt.com.

It's not much yet, but I like it!
