New feed alert! I'm developing a new feed, a version of the Highline feed that's _forward_ chronological. It holds your place (up to 24 hours back), and catches you up to not-quite-now on what you missed. Try it and let me know what you think.

Anyone have any feedback about the Highline feed? Especially interested if you’ve tried out customizing what it shows you at feeds.mdruker.app, but I’d also appreciate just hearing how you use it or why it didn’t work for you

This explains some weirdness you may have seen on the Highline feed over the last few hours. This server itself seems to be OK
An upstream network problem has been impacting almost all Bluesky network services for the past 3-4 hours. Posting and other public interactions are disrupted for many accounts.
As connectivity recovers, the firehose and other services will see large surges of events.

The Catch Up feed is now known as Highline! Like the highlights of your timeline/skyline.
And new users of the feed will be defaulted to seeing some recent posts at the top. Happy for feedback, of course.

The Recent Posts setting (accessible at feeds.mdruker.app) has now been updated to include reposts and replies as you would normally see in your Following timeline, before showing you a more filtered view of earlier posts

Before switching to the most engaged posts, the feed can show you an unfiltered view of a few of the latest posts.

The Recent Posts setting (accessible at feeds.mdruker.app) has now been updated to include reposts and replies as you would normally see in your Following timeline, before showing you a more filtered view of earlier posts

The Catch Up feed supports this now. Show more / show less will increase or decrease by 1 the number of posts the feed will show you from that account per 24 hours.
You can always see and edit those values at feeds.mdruker.app as well.

Updating the default settings so new users of the Catch Up feed will be able to see replies and some reposts. Existing users shouldn't be affected, but if you see something weird, let me know. And you can update settings at feeds.mdruker.app regardless.

Renamed the "Catch Up on Follows" feed to a catchier "Catch Up". Still the same feed.

New experimental feature for the Catch Up On Follows feed just dropped. Go to feeds.mdruker.app if you want to have a few of the newest posts at the top of your feed before the feed digest section. (The default is 0.)

My database ran out of space, but now that it has enough space the server is behind on updates. Maybe it'll catch up. Let's hope it catches up.

The feed server got stuck on a bad subscription entry. I pushed a fix and it's moving again. It's behind by around 50 minutes and will take some time to catch up.

Reposts in the feed are back! Login at feeds.mdruker.app to set a percentage of your feed that you want to be the top reposts by accounts you follow

The server is back up, but very behind on The Posts. Hopefully it'll catch up overnight.
I'll need to do some more maintenance on the server so there might be some more interruptions.
