Nique Clifford over three preseason games:

10 PTS | 3 REB | 9 AST | 2 STL
15 PTS | 3 REB | 2 AST | 1 STL
19 PTS | 3 REB | 1 STL | 1 BLK

51% FG | 33% 3PT | 23.1 MIN
The Kings tonight: Bad
Nique Clifford tonight: Good

16 PTS | 3 REB | 1 STL | 7/12 FG | 19 MIN

Sacramento's lone bright spot in this one.
This game has been a tough watch from Sacramento's perspective.

Nique Clifford has had some moments, though. Attacking the basket with confidence.

11 PTS | 3 REB | 5/9 FG | 1/3 3PT | 14 MIN
Domantas Sabonis is already up to 12 rebounds over 14 minutes.

Nobody else on the Kings has more than two.
After jumping out to an early 16-8 lead, Sacramento was outscored 18-2 during the final five minutes of the first quarter.

The Clippers are 5/12 (41%) from three-point range, while the Kings have only made one of their 10 attempts.
With Malik Monk (illness) and Russell Westbrook (signing not official) out tonight, rookie Nique Clifford appears to be Sacramento's backup point guard.
The Kings have options at the guard spots.

Schroder - Westbrook
LaVine - Monk

Keon Ellis and Devin Carter are also in the mix. Have to wonder if this means the Kings play Ellis at the 3 more.
Sacramento didn't have another true PG on its roster outside of Dennis Schroder, and now they have Russell Westbrook, who averaged 13-5-6 last year with Denver.

Westbrook's 6.1 assists per game would have led the Kings last season.
Sacramento Kings rookies tonight vs. TOR:

Dylan Cardwell: 12 PTS | 6/7 FG | 1 BLK | 12 MIN
Nique Clifford: 10 PTS | 3 REB | 9 AST | 24 MIN
Maxime Raynaud: 7 PTS | 6 REB | 2 STL | 12 MIN

Those three went 11/17 (64%) from the field in the 4th.
This is the most life we've seen from the Kings all night, and it's behind the play of Devin Carter, Isaiah Stevens, Maxime Raynaud, Dylan Cardwell, and Nique Clifford.

Sacramento has outscored Toronto 30-20 thus far in the 4th and are within 9 with 3:57 to go.
Last season, the Sacramento Kings allowed 16+ made three-point field goals in 31 games (6th-most in the NBA).

Tonight, they have allowed the Raptors to shoot 16/28 (57%) from deep, and we are still in the 3Q.

Preseason, yes. But not ideal.
Very early observation, but the Kings look clunky on offense.

5 assists on 14 made baskets. 8 turnovers.
Toronto is 8/10 from three-point range through 12 minutes of play.

Kings basketball really is back.
Greetings from G1C 👋

Following a 175-day break, Sacramento Kings basketball is back.

Kings vs. Raptors. Preseason action tips off at 7 PM PT.
The Sacramento Kings say that all players are available for tomorrow’s preseason opener vs. Toronto.
We’re entering the final weekend before things really ramp up for the Kings and NBA.

Media Day on Monday.
Training Camp starts Tuesday.
First preseason game is on Oct. 8.
Season opener (Oct. 22) is less than one month away.

Media Day and training camp are quickly approaching for the Sacramento Kings, and they have an... interesting look at the moment.

The Kings might not have a Christmas Day game, but there will be plenty of basketball played at G1C leading into the holidays.

12/20 vs. POR
12/21 vs. HOU
12/23 vs. DET
12/27 vs. DAL
The Kings continue to be linked to Russell Westbrook, even though they have a logjam at the guard spots.

Schroder - Westbrook - Carter
LaVine - Monk- Ellis

Something has to give if this signing happens.
79 more days until Sacramento Kings basketball returns 🗓️
The Sacramento Kings have advanced to the NBA Summer League Championship, where they’ll play the winner of OKC/Hornets on Sunday night at 7 pm PT.

Sacramento is looking to become the first team to secure three NBA Summer League titles.
Nique Clifford's ability to self-create has really been impressive in Summer League, but he's also finding his open teammates as well.

He's up to 12 points and 6 assists (0 turnovers) over 22 minutes today.
Kings' 24th overall pick Nique Clifford through three Summer League games:

6.3 REB
3.7 AST
2.0 STL
60% FG
70% 3PT
