New tattoo day! A beautiful upper arm Jesus by the incomparable Kris at Vivid Ink Coventry (plus filling in a space in my inner elbow). Right hand sleeve almost complete.

(First shot is an old tattoo which was never finished 20+ years ago and acted as the guide for today)

I already have a copy but thanks for the shoutout - and hard agree these are films that demand to be seen!

Just finished these novellas by Seishi Yokomizo. ‘Murder...’ was so-so (a little light on characterisation, too focused on plot mechanics) but the second story ‘Why Did The Well Wheel Creak?’ was a stone-cold banger: a gothic horror told in letters and steeped in dread. Definitely worth checking out

I think about that blender sequence on a semi regular basis

Just finished @stephenking.bsky.social’s THE OUTISDER - absolutely floored. I was gripped, moved to tears and enotionally wrecked by an ending which lands like a ten pound jack hammer. Best novel I’ve read all year.

I like Dunkirk a lot, but the writer has a point about scale - Nolan’s aversion the CGI made the evacuation and beach scenes smaller than by all accounts they were.

Watched Kurosawa's CURE for the first time yesterday. Haven't been this unnerved by a film in a very long time.

Loving this picture on eBay of a Lament Configuration Puzzle Box. Have fun kids!

I don’t know if I’m ready to say I love it, and certainly I was in Team Hate until this morning. But after watching T3 and Salvation this week, and going in with palpable trepidation, I… had fun?! Honestly I don’t know what to make of the experience.

Guys, I don't know what happened.
