Given the majority of my new followers are here for either baseball or baking, I feel it's fitting to share my gingerbread snowflake and baseball cookies from last year. Big fan of combining my interests when possible 🍪🍽⚾️

Waiting to see if yet another *very much needed* medication prescribed by my doctor is approved by insurance and being warned by my doctor there's a good chance it won't be sends me into a particularly dark headspace. Not even for my own sake, but thinking about how many others are in the same boat.
I'm so sorry. I wish this surprised me. They're notoriously awful, and you can almost guarantee that every time he does some public good deed (like inviting a fan onto the field for bp), it's timed to either of them, or both, being terrible and wanting it covered up. It's been like that for a while.

UPDATE: My Orioles member rep just called me to talk about my email re yesterday’s Spirit Day tweet leaving out the LGBTQ+ community! It was elevated up the chain to the head of branding (a lesbian) and they ended up having a team meeting about it.
It was *not* supposed to go out that way.
Absolutely. And it happening so quietly is not at all surprising. He is, and has always been a soulless snake. That period of time on PT when so many were praising him and making him out to be this fantastic guy drove me absolutely NUTS. Dude is a ghoul.
(Fwiw, if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose Preller. This should speak volumes because I do not like Preller. But my disdain for Greup is boundless)
Thank you! It was one of the coolest projects to work on, because Willie O'Ree is an honest to goodness badass
When the dodgers even include it in their post but the Padres don't, you know we are cooked.
I very sadly can report that they are all over my neighborhood in Point Loma. But, I believe the majority of those I see are commuting to the naval base down the road from me. It still deeply disturbs me to at least a couple every time I leave my house.
(2/2) The desserts were well received by all in attendance, including the entire Gulls roster. Having the opportunity to design and create these special desserts for such an icon (Willie was the first Black player in the NHL) will remain one of the coolest projects I've been involved with 🧡💙🖤
Last week, I had the honor of providing the desserts for a 90th birthday celebration for hockey legend Willie O'Ree that his former team, the San Diego Gulls hosted. I made mini chocolate coated cakes in the shape of pucks and eight dozen sugar cookies of his jersey and signature fedora hat. (1/2)
Pro tip: start slow roasting ribs before you go to a lengthy, and less than fun doctor's appointment so that when you get home, your house smells amazing and you get to dine on ribs*

*only do this if someone else will be home to supervise the oven

(Also, hell yeah, unreasonably cool weather!)

Welcome to newest influx of users from Twitter/X, who will follow 20 people, give up on making connection when no algorithm holds your hand through curating your feed, will post 3 times over several months while still checking X daily, and then conclude Bluesky is just too insular! Enjoy your stay!
Remarkably resilient Bugsy invites you to go sit in some wet soil, slow blink, and maybe also eat from weedy grass.
Yep. Gulls home opener this weekend and it still surprises me how excited I am for it.
(2/2), immediately went to HR (he texted me to ask how to handle it and I told him not to approach the coworker because if he's that desperate to gamble, he isn't going to handle the situation well) and they dealt with the situation. It's legitimately frightening what a chokehold it has on so many.
My far-too-trusting friend had a coworker ask if he could use my friend's phone for a few minutes because his had died. Friend handed over his phone. Within 6min, the coworker had used my friend's email to sign up for two gambling sites. My friend saw the email confirmations in his inbox (1/2)
Happiest of Birthdays to Lucy!
October Bug 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Bugsy's dodged some bullets since starting his journey navigating cancer, and somehow has made it to my favorite month. He is still gaining weight (he weighs 10.7lbs.. my birthday is 10/7), but is slowing down, quickly. The end of the line is near. I'll be forever grateful for him.
He's the absolute best, and to hold on this long is a testament to that. I know I'm going to have to say goodbye very soon, and I'll have to help him along because he will push past what is okay for him to endure for my sake, but having one last birthday with him means everything to me.
Thank you sincerely. I feel incredibly lucky 🧡
The happiest of gifts. He is the most special guy. I've been so lucky 🧡
I can't convey how grateful I am. I know we are very, very near the end, but to have this birthday with him will forever mean the world to me 🧡
