Behold the most perfect kitty in existence!
fairystailor.bsky.social
'This kit is a leather pouch containing bandages, salves, and splints. The kit has ten uses. As an action, you can expend one use of the kit to stabilize a creature that has 0 hit points, without needing to make a Wisdom (Medicine) check.'

where is the lack of a function?
fairystailor.bsky.social
so why wouldnt you pay 5gp and save 10 friends?
heck for the same cost as 1 potion )50gp) you could save 100 friends
that is literally 100 times better than a potion
fairystailor.bsky.social
i.e would you pay 50gp to get out of 4 days of bedrest.
fairystailor.bsky.social
A healer's kit stabilizes and takes the same action as a potion.
there are no death saves being taken after that.
the only difference is the actual HP.
so it is genuinely a case of 'are those 4 hp worth a months worth of work at best'
fairystailor.bsky.social
is worth 50gp or you think you may be in a combat that knocks you down and requires you to get back up, well the potion just isnt worth the cost
fairystailor.bsky.social
is a luxury that most cant afford and most wont ever have a need for unless they see combat.
tbf a healers kit isnt usefull unless they see combat either, but its cheaper and has more uses.
now ets assume 3.5 rules where you heal 1 hp per level per long rest, minimum 1.
unless missing 4 days of work
fairystailor.bsky.social
3.5 weeks worth of pay as the average person irl doesnt have that
and being quite honest the average commoner would be an unskilled worker by DnD standards
now keep in mind a Healer's Kit has 10 uses and instantly stabilizes you and costs 5gp
for a commoner its far more useful and cheaper
a potion
fairystailor.bsky.social
an unskilled worker makes 2sp per day,a skilled makes 2gp per day
lets say a skilled worker for a commoner to be nice
lets assume they work EVERY day no exceptions
thats 3.5 weeks to make 50 gp
that doesn't include living costs
if its like irl then the average commoner will just never save up
fairystailor.bsky.social
One thing to keep in mind is that rarity in our world quite often decides the price alone
ike the only reason people want diamonds over say rubies is cause of the rarity
and a Stradhivarius is honestly not a good instrument by todays standards, just rare and fancy so expensive
fairystailor.bsky.social
I will acknowledge there is a difference between being friends with a blueblood and working for them.
But like Striker has shown that he can work for/with other rich imps like moxie's dad
Striker has als shown a relative obedience with doing his work that someone who truly hates bluebloods wouldnt
fairystailor.bsky.social
tbf the amount of damage they heal would kill the average NPC
if you need a healing potion and not something for stabilizing, then you are like 1 in a 1,000
fairystailor.bsky.social
He's also just such a hypocrite, hates Blitzo and Fizz for getting close to some of the blue bloods but willingly takes jobs from the same people, and will help them with their schemes for money.

So what you're saying that Gail has rules that she plays by.

If not redeemable then why hot?

"Sweetie he was already dead, we dont do life insurance. And he didn't want to pay for After-Life insurance when we said he would need to be tested for herpes as part of the process."

okay but what happens if i have multiple monitors set up, all showing the same screen?
fairystailor.bsky.social
and in fact a lot of companies would adjust their prices higher, using it as an excuse to make more of a profit
fairystailor.bsky.social
This was the plan all along, to stop people buying their Guillotines
fairystailor.bsky.social
like yes that is fast, but for the creator who spent weeks on it its not.
it feels bloody slow, cause for the creator it is slow
fairystailor.bsky.social
I cant imagine what its like to go 'okay for this scene we will have jack and jill get into a fight. next scene will be aftermath of said fight' then spend weeks on that aftermath and then do the reconciliation. but the aftermath scene was 2 minutes long.
fairystailor.bsky.social
like cliffhangers are the most obvious example
'will he survive tune in next week' is much different than 'will he survive jus wait 5 seconds'
But even ignoring that if you binge a soap opera then everyone usually sees like a monster, where as if its week to week they seem okayish
fairystailor.bsky.social
That's fair, i think part of it is also about making it vs watching it
Like if you make something then you sit with it for a long time. Where as watching it can be you go through it quite fast
You see this with some shows that if you binge them its a completely different story than watching weekly

This is why I cast dispell magic wherever I go, gotta keep those wizards in check

like it's just such a small thing, but it's nice to know that my little fix is helping people to this day. It's great.
Its not a lot of people, but still hell yeah!
