Sarah Game’s proposed new bill would strip vital protections — denying care to people in mental health crises, with serious health complications, or survivors of rape, incest, or sexual slavery.

Sign the petition now to protect compassionate abortion care in SA.

Just four years after abortion was decriminalised in SA, anti-choice politicians want to roll back access, making it harder to get care after 23 weeks.

Sign the petition before October 15 to help keep medical decisions between patients and their doctors.

If you're from South Australia, send a letter to your representatives in the Legislative Council and urge them to protect the current laws and reject this dangerous bill. fair-agenda.good.do/stoptheattac...
Text says: The bill that will attempt to restrict South Australia’s abortion laws will be introduced to the Legislative Council on Wednesday 17 September.

It’s vital the Legislative Council hears directly from South Australians that they want to keep politicians out of personal medical decisions.

Add your voice - Stop this attack.

Victim-survivors in South Australia are being failed in devastating ways, including a lack of timely access to care after sexual assault.

If you're a South Australian resident, tell your local MP to urgently improve access to forensic medical examinations - fair-agenda.good.do/SAforensicex...
Text says: 5%. The percentage of recommendations from SA’s Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence that the South Australian Government has committed to so far. A pink pie chart shows a small sliver that is slightly darker in a large pink circle, with an arrow pointing to the sliver to indicate that is 5%.
Text says: The South Australian Government has committed to responding to the remaining 95% of recommendations by the end of the year. But while South Australians wait for that… Victim-survivors are left waiting for timely and accessible care. This includes waiting to access forensic medical examinations, with some victim-survivors having to travel seven hours one way from Port Lincoln to Adelaide to access care. Forensic medical examinations are a critical option after sexual assault. They provide important medical care, as well as collecting evidence that can support the victim-survivor’s account of what has taken place, and help identify the offender.
Text says: South Australians: Email your MP now. Join the call for access to forensic medical exams. Victim-survivors should not be kept waiting for the care they need.

It found that victim-survivors have to travel up to 7 hours one-way from Port Lincoln to Adelaide to access a forensic medical examination following a sexual assault. Victim-survivors across the state face similar delays.
Text says: Where is Port Lincoln? Port Lincoln is a whopping seven hour drive away from Adelaide - and victim-survivors across South Australia face similar delays. A screenshot of a map showing the distance from Port Lincoln to Adelaide and the driving time of 6 hours and 53 minutes is shown.

Text says: What are forensic medical exams? A forensic medical examination is an optional exam after a rape or sexual assault has occurred to support the victim-survivor’s explanation of what has taken place and can help identify the offender. A victim-survivor will be asked not to shower or change from the clothes they were assaulted in until the forensic examination is performed. Any delays are unacceptable - an agonising wait for someone who has already experienced a traumatic event.

The South Australian Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence has just published its findings.
Text says: Up to a 7 hour drive to access care after a sexual assault. The South Australian Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence has just published its findings; here’s what you need to know.
Text says: WHAT DOES IT SAY ABOUT CARE FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT SURVIVORS? The report handed down by the Commission noted that: “Currently in Port Lincoln there is no sexual assault crisis clinicians or supports. Victim survivors are transported to Whyalla or even Adelaide for a forensic examination and there is no option for ‘Just in Case’ kits.” The Commission has said that this is “an appalling situation that has persisted for years in South Australia. It needs to be addressed without delay.”

Text says: Treaty and the feminist movement. To achieve a fair and just future - one where we can all live with safety, security, and agency over our lives - we must address the historical and ongoing marginalisation of First Nations people, especially First Nations women.

Too often, governments have ignored First Nations people when making important decisions about them - perpetuating systemic injustices including violence, health disparities, and other forms of inequality.

And had legislation to address sexual violence in unis pass in the Senate yesterday!
Text says: BILL FOR SAFER UNIVERSITIES PASSES SENATE. New standards that will require universities to do more to prevent, and appropriately respond to, sexual violence were reintroduced to parliament last week, and yesterday they passed the Senate! This Bill was introduced in the Senate, so it still has to make its way through the House of Representatives in order to become law, but this vital reform is so close to becoming a reality in Australia. A photo of university graduates throwing their hats in the air is included.

Met decision makers about the importance of pre-recorded testimony for sexual assault victim-survivors in Victoria...
(Get involved here: fair-agenda.good.do/Vicprerecord...)
Text says: BUILDING MOMENTUM FOR PRE-RECORD TESTIMONY IN VICTORIA. Our campaign calling for expanding access to pre-recorded testimony featured in an ABC article earlier this month, sharing Amira’s* experiences at trial. We launched a letter writing campaign to local MPs to advocate for reforms to provide access to pre-record testimony in Victoria, where it is not currently an option for adult victim-survivors of sexual violence. A photo of a hand holding a megaphone is included, as well as an image of a laptop with the ABC article open.

We’ve secured a vital win for forensic medical exam access in Queensland...
Text says: WIN FOR VICTIM-SURVIVORS IN QUEENSLAND. Fair Agenda, in partnership with survivor-advocate Evie Clayton, has called for funding to improve access to forensic medical exams in Queensland - and last month we got some big news! Queensland Health is providing funding to every Hospital and Health Service across the state to provide support to victim-survivors of sexual assault - funding 50 new positions across the state, more clinicians trained to deliver forensic medical exams, and a commitment to quarterly updates on system capacity. A photo of survivor-advocate Evie and Fair Agenda campaign manager Daisy talking to a politician, as well as a photo of Evie and Daisy with the Attorney-General of Queensland is included.
