Today's pony of the day is D.J., a toyline-exclusive G1 unicorn!

Text on the left reads "Wind the flower-shaped brooch... your pony will really dance!" "Let's listen to some music," D.J. suggested to the ponies, strolling into a room at the castle. She switched on the radio and a happy tune filled the room. Soon, D.J. and her friends were dancing to the music, their tails twirling around and around with the beat! Smiling, D.J. touched the radio with her magic horn, and the musical notes popped out of the radio, dancing in the air! When the song was over, the notes turned into glittering ribbons for the ponies to wear in their hair!

This morning I watched #apageofmadness and was absolutely blown away! This 1920s film has some truly shocking imagery and modern techniques. The plot was a little difficult to follow without inter-titles but the stunning visuals more than made up for it!

Yesterday I had a holiday double feature! #achristmasstorychristmas was bland and boring but I genuinely enjoyed #spirited! I had no idea it was a musical; I would have watched it a lot sooner had I known!

Today's morning #coffeewatch was #osakaelegy. This 1930s Japanese film had a lot to say about gender roles and dynamics of the era and had a strong female lead! The interwoven dynamics of the relationships were fascinating to watch unfold. Beautiful!

Honestly, the more I think about it what I really want is to see a theatrical version of the novel. The book is fucking WILD and the musical really downplays it. It would be amazing to see an onscreen adaptation true to source material.

Today I saw #wickedforgood in theaters and as expected, it was a bit of a disappointment. It was fine but not as good as the first half which was already not as enjoyable as the stage play. I still had fun though!

This was a hard decision but for film 300 this year I went with something I've been wanting to watch for quite some time and it did not disappoint. #swinggirls was an absolute masterpiece; it made me smile so hard I cried. This was perfect.
