This semester, students in my course on Digital Representations of Music and Notation Software had the opportunity to visit our university's Retro Computing Lab, led by Torsten Roeder. It was great fun trying to notate some music on still working C64s. 🎹🤖 #musicscience

This is an important new resource for people interested in the science of music. It combines academic rigor and a wide disciplinary scope while still somehow managing to make it accessible for students and non-specialists. I couldn't recommend it more! #musicscience
I'm proud to announce a new textbook for #musicscience titled "Music and Science: A Guide to Empirical Research". It covers methods in music psychology, empirical research, #openresearch & music computation in 298 pages. For details, see doi.org/10.4324/9781.... Codes at tuomaseerola.github.io/emr/
