Exactly this. The campus rallies weren’t pro-peace rallies, they were pro-terrorism rallies. Worse, they were rallies for terrorists who would’ve happily killed most of the rally participants!

Because it would neither be free nor democratic; it would be a theocratic dictatorship and would result in a bigger loss of Jewish life than the Holocaust. Plus all the other religious minorities who freely practice in Israel would be screwed. Also there would be mass killings of lgbt people.

I remember within days of October 7 there were people tearing down pictures of the hostages, either saying that it never happened or that they deserved it. And this was *before* Israel responded militarily!

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.
