Wrap treats/kibble in pieces of fleece.
Stuff fleece into toy.
When @spritethetoller.bsky.social was a puppy ALL of her meals were fed in puzzles & toys. She's wicked smart & needs to be challenged. Dogs who love food can easily have enrichment added at meal times.

That is something that I would recommend having a trainer come to your house so they can see the entire situation. I'm happy to help if you're in the Tacoma, WA area.

American Bully/Catahoula mix with a pinch of Border Collie. Sweetest dog I've ever had but gives absolutely zero fucks about training and will ignore me if strangers are paying attention to her.

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever: fucking maniac who ignores me because it's a conscience decision to be a teenage dirtbag even though she's 2 now. Recalls on a dime though so I got that going for me.

The easiest way to add a little mental enrichment to your dog's day is to ditch the food bowl! Get creative with their meals: egg carton taped shut with kibble inside, cardboard box with newspaper & kibble inside, scatter kibble around the yard. Let them forage & shred for their supper! #dogtraining

For a number of reasons, the dogs will be in a different order in the new kennels. They are getting adjusted to the new order before we bring in the new set up. Hoping to have the new kennels painted and inside before the end of the weekend!

Slightly confused by the new order, L to R:
Intact female Sprite, spayed female Nala, neutered male Ducky (who showed a little too much interest in Sprite when she was in heat).
This also blocks Ducky's view of the cat when she comes down the stairs since he likes to whine at her when he sees her.
This also puts Sprite with the best vantage point because she suffers greatly from FOMO. Nala doesn't care where she sleeps as long as she has a multi-layer bed.
