On this day in 1933, the Toffees defeated Blackburn Rovers at Goodison, 7-1. Centre-forward Tommy White (pictured) grabbed three. Johnson, Stein, Geldard & Dunn got one each.
White, a docker in later life, was a very versatile player, as explained here:

The agile Irishman was one of several goalkeepers succeeding Ted Sagar in the 1950s. He eventually joined Stoke City. He also represented @bfcdublin.bsky.social in this fundraising match.
Toffees stalwart Tommy Fleetwood (footballer, not golfer) is commemorated in the West Stand at @EvertonStadium .

Signed from Dundee in 1960, Jimmy was integral to the Toffees league and cup successes in 1963 and 1966. He returned as a youth coach in the 1990s.
A day late with this post, as it was a busy day of tweeting, but 98 years ago, yesterday, Everton beat Manchester United, 5-2. Bill "Dixie" Dean scored all five Blues goals on the way to his unsurpassed 60.
