I loved this book and it comes out in just a couple weeks! So fun AND sweet! Did I mention it has a jazz flute?

Yesterday I met a girl with my same name/ nickname! I have now met 3 kids with my name. This is exciting for me because I had never met anyone with my nickname before for MY WHOLE LIFE until I met these kids!
They’re making a Muppets and Star Trek mashup? It’s the episode I never knew I wanted and now I’m way too happy about it. 😂
I’m making key lime pie for the first time. I was in the store contemplating where the key lime juice would be. An employee asked what I was looking for.
Me: “Key lime juice.”
Him: “I’ll help you find it.”
Me: “Thank you.”
Him: “Where do you think it would be?”

😂
I’m a little obsessed with this beautiful book, Home in the Woods by Eliza Wheeler. It reminds me so much of my grandma.
I finally finished the skirt for my 19yo’s Princess Peach cosplay and there’s still 5 weeks before the convention! We might actually pull off this family Peach, Waluigi, Wario, Luigi, Mario group cosplay after all! 😀
I went to my favorite place to write yesterday (chick-fil-a). A group of teenage girls sitting by me were talking on speaker phone to a guy. One girl said, “If you’re not here in 10 minutes we’re bombing your house.” Is this flirting? These kids were hilarious.

This is my favorite box so far. I love this game. It’s fantastic for 2 people that like dice battle games.
In the car…

Me: Wow, the Magnolias are in bloom!
My 19 year old: You’re such a nerd! You know what Magnolias are besides the professor in Pokemon.

😂
This was such a fun book by Jess Hannigan! @jesshgn.bsky.social
I took my 16 year old to see A Midsummer Night’s Dream tonight. The actors were fantastic! I love taking him to live Shakespeare plays!
I love this board game! I heard Unmatched Cobble and Fog was going out of print so I finally bought it and I’m glad I did. I love board games where you can play literary characters, especially these guys!
I just watched Thunderbolts in the theater with my son to celebrate the start of summer. 10AM is my new favorite time to go to the theater- we were the only people there! Also, the movie was great!
I don’t remember that in the movie! 😂
My 18yo started a deep discussion with me today over whether or not water benders could bend milk.
I got some garlic at the store and I haven’t seen any vampires, so I guess they were right. 😂
I read the 1833 Mother Goose’s Melodies and it was one of the most entertaining books I’ve ever read- so many rhymes that didn’t make it to our time.
How can something be new AND improved? I mean, if something has been improved, then it isn’t new anymore, is it?
Huh. This book gatekeeping makes me so sad! Can’t we just be happy that a kid is reading?
