📅 Join us on November 4 for a special event co-organised with EDENT1FI and hosted by MEP Stine Bosse. We’ll discuss the daily burden of diabetes, its impact on individuals, families, and communities, and why early detection matters.

💡But there is hope.

Early detection of type 1 diabetes can prevent DKA, giving individuals and families time to understand the disease, explore early interventions that may delay insulin dependence, and participate in research.

The emotional toll is real. Diabetes distress, burnout, depression, anxiety are unfortunately common, and often overlooked.

A late diagnosis of type 1 diabetes can be traumatic, frequently occurring during a medical emergency like diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).
