Yes, government shutdowns carry risks. But the real moral failure is choosing comfort and convenience over standing up for people whose pain you’ve decided is acceptable.

The only acceptable option is to abolish ICE and prosecute the terrorists. There are no reforms worth negotiating.

When local policing becomes immigration enforcement, public safety breaks down. I submitted testimony in strong support of SB0245 because Maryland must do better to protect our vulnerable communities.

I spent nearly a decade inside the ACA. I know who it really serves; it’s not patients.

My opponents defend a system that pads insurer profits while families suffer. Medicare for All is the fix they’re too cowardly to fight for.

I’m not owned by that system. Healthcare is a right I will fight for.

Maryland doesn’t need to sacrifice its communities, water, or energy grid for data centers. These projects aren’t harmless or inevitable, they’re a policy choice.

Rubber-stamping them is a failure of leadership. I’m running for Congress as someone who is willing to say no.

Black history is American history.

Not just the victories, but the struggles, the resistance, and the unfinished work.

This month, and always, we must honor the truth and the people who shaped it and continue to shape it today.

I don’t have anything new to add to the discussion around the Epstein files, except this: when elected, I will use every tool at my disposal to ensure transparency, full investigation, and accountability under the law for anyone involved.

No one is above the law.

Democrats said they’d stop ICE, then they funded it. “Negotiations” won’t fix an agency built on violence. ICE kills people and it must be abolished.

Young people threaten a political status quo built on concentrated power and cautious incrementalism. This piece is about why that model is failing and why youth leadership is essential to meeting this moment.

Trump’s comments from yesterday’s Cabinet meeting about driving up the cost of home prices totally miss the mark. We should be making housing more affordable: lowering rent, expanding supply, and opening doors for first-time buyers. Housing is a fundamental right, not a luxury.

Had a great time last night with the Latino Democratic Club of MoCo. I loved spending the evening talking with members and local leaders about the real issues facing our community and how we can work together to deliver real solutions. Grateful for the conversation & the chance to listen and learn.

ICE is out of control. Families are being torn apart. People are dying in detention. This system is broken beyond repair.

I’m running for Congress to fight for a humane immigration system and that means abolishing ICE.

For all of Target’s corporate talk about inclusion, my local store plowed all the snow straight into handicap parking spaces. Winter is already brutal for people with disabilities. Blocking access isn’t just careless; it’s disrespectful and unacceptable. Do better.

Another Border Patrol shooting in Arizona. A person is in critical condition while CBP and DHS hide behind “internal reviews.” This is what militarized enforcement looks like: violence first, excuses later. ICE, CBP, and DHS keep getting away with it. Human lives are not disposable.

If certain words make your posts disappear, that’s corporate choice to protect power. Algorithms shouldn’t decide which injustices we’re allowed to name. When platforms stifle expression, they’re not neutral, they’re taking sides. People have every right to demand that power back & it’s time we do.

Abolishing ICE isn’t just about one agency. It means confronting the entire enforcement-driven immigration system: ICE, CBP, and USCIS.

This system doesn’t deliver justice. It delivers death, trauma, and families torn apart. Call your legislators and demand they take action now.
January 27, 2026 at 12:30 PM
Pushing Bovino out is not justice. It’s a distraction. This system was built to terrorize communities, and responsibility runs from Kristi Noem down to the agents enforcing it. Real accountability means confronting everyone responsible; not sacrificing one person to protect the rest.

You’re about to hear a lot of politicians rewrite their own history. They’ll tell you they’ve always cared, fought, and stood up. If that’s true, why find their voice now? This moment isn’t about convenience. It’s about who was there before the cameras showed up. That’s why I’m running for Congress.

We hope everyone is staying safe as winter weather hits our district! If you’re snowed in, we’d love to see how you’re spending the day: snowmen, sledding, cozy fires, or a good cup of coffee.

If you’re feeling angry or sad, that’s okay too; you’re not alone. Let’s look out for each other. ❄️☕
