I highly recommend House of the Beast by @lokhelle.bsky.social I couldn't help myself and doodled Fion and Kaim cuz I'm obsessed. Kaim was a dick but I loved him and that fight scene had me in tears 😭 my art skills are really rusty but I just had to get it out of my system

This is kinda the entire thing yeah... I actually never want to paywall my fanfics and so anything I post on Patreon will eventually go on AO3 and I've tried to be very clear about that so nobody feels they have to pay for it.

But we've had 50 sh*des of grey now. We've had the thinly veiled r*ylo fics turned original novel. More importantly, there will always, always be spaces where paying fan content creators for their work is not only acceptable, but encouraged.

Because they do it out of love.

Actually I do want to say that I understand and respect the concerns of monetizing fandom, and I realize there is a slippery slope. For instance, I too look upon the recent Dr*mione trad published novels with distaste (though much of that has to do with supporting that awful woman and her IP).

Like the shit I'd do if I had disposable income??? I would make you guys entire Kagehina au fan movies and post that online FOR FREE. Can't do that without $$$ to commission those artists tho, and they're not gonna do it for free, so...
