I'm probably far too cynical for my own good, but I'm guessing they will release the funds for food relief just in time for Thanksgiving, and their base will call them heroes for it.

Along with all the destruction in his wake. That sounds great, makes for good bluesky captions, but it ignores the reality that we will be decades repairing the damage he's done in the US and abroad if we even can fix it.

If this plan is approved, he'd make almost $100 BILLION annually.

That's 1.6 MILLION times the median American salary.

We're urging Tesla shareholders to vote against this new pay package.

I don't think the reps or senators can be influenced by the people. If they cared about our support more than his blackmail, they would have acted already. As far as elections, I'm just hoping we will still have some going forward.

I will also say while I’m at it, that for every argument that you can make for the need to have new / younger / different reps, you can and should dissect how those arguments are ableist and ageist.

I’d rather hear how “X” elected is disconnected than trotting out their age like they’re disposable.

Libertarians are people who think they did it all by themselves but forget they went to public school, drive on roads, get protected by police and fire dept, don't get poisoned because of the EPA, get subsidized healthcare, courts of law, property rules, air traffic control, public research etc.

It would be awkward and inappropriate for me to participate in a No Kings protest here in the UK for obvious reasons, but know that my heart is with those who are going to the protests back home. Stay strong, stay safe, be seen and be heard.

Oy, that was my dad in the year or so before he died. But he had dementia complicated by self imposed isolation. I'd hate to think there are that many people who share that mindset.
