Jim, Colin, and I are back with Traveller rpg.

I'm transitioning to publishing recordings of games rather than livestreams in order to improve the video and audio of each release.

Really liked it. It's no Tombs but nevertheless I found the conversations between ged and arran extremely rewarding. And I think the way it ends with Ged is very poetic. Suiting.
There's room for other interpretations for sure... But to me there's something endearing about that otherwise gross combination of valorism and vanity pasted with the veneer of absurd wealth and engineering marvel.
If I was making a Battletech movie I'd absolutely want Jerry Bruckheimer at the helm.

Top Gun, Days of Thunder, and most recently F1 just really nail what I think battletech is.

The dude is an alchemist. He understands the vibes of mixing machismo and machines.

Pretty good! My friend called this kinda genre of sci-fi cooperation porn and I totally get it. Very anti-mothership ttrpg inspiration. But very good! If you like his other book the Martian you'd like this. A little corny and a little tiresome by the end there but im glad I read it before the film.
Y'all this game is really fantastic!

DEEPEST VALLEY is a hand-drawn fantasy strategy game for hanging out with 2-5 friends.

Five realms battle for control of a valley sunk so deep into war it might swallow them whole.

My brain as soon as I'm awake: you're gonna see the end of all big wildlife? Like any mammal that ain't a human, pet, livestock domesticate, or pest is gonna be gone. Like a really inefficient tyranid invasion.
Inventing the Renaissance got recommended to me by like at least 4 friends and for very good reason. This book was made for me and didn't disappoint. it does my favorite gimmick "what we were taught is wrong" but it isn't about superiority. It forgives and is a love letter to historiography itself
Drop was probably my favorite book of the year so far!
the egg led me astray. this aint balatro and this aint scrabble.
I'm sorry but this word play the game can suck a dictionary. this is like the 5th word that aint in its arbitrary database.

Well friends it has finally comes down to this. 5 and a half IRL years later we've arrived at the end of the Great Pendragon Campaign today. The final years of the Arthurian saga.
Money always was the universal agency token wasn't it?
kinda love that daggerheart, draw steel, and shadowdark all sound like thouroughbreds registered for the goth trenchcoat-formal horceracing championship.
Not saying we shouldnt but like in order to achieve that amount of copper it means we will have massive scars the size of south carolina with multiple lakes of arsenic the size of Manhattan to do this.
You ever think about how much copper we're gonna mine in order to electrify the world and us run everything on batteries and solar and stuff?

The amount needed to go from now to there has gotta be more than we've cumulatively mined since the beginning of time
Maybe I'm just waiting to be proven wrong with a good enough story. Something that makes you appreciate the irony of a vampire owning all the silver mines in the Colorado territory.
I think I don't jam with the weird west aesthetic too much. I think the externalisation of evil as a separate thing undercuts the culpability of mankind to be the worst thing in the universe and to me that's an unforgivable thing to do in the Western genre.

I taught my parrot how to say 'I love you' and now we're getting married.
ive been watching folks play broken arrow and it looks so fun but i'm worried figuring it all out is too much work and it might be best as a "watch" game
I think they learned their lesson after making the real GOAT the mx510 and it lasting a decade and decided to make everything have planned obsolescence then on out
