Last night, I had the opportunity to participate in the Kyle Police Department's Citizens Police Academy. Over the next 10 weeks, our class will learn about the operations of the Kyle Police Department, how we can foster a working relationship with them, and better support our community. #KyleTX

With UT Softball winning the National Championship, thinking about Elisa, my mother-in-law, who lived with Yvette and I for 14 years and cheered on the team with us. While Elisa passed in December before the start of the season, I am sure she was watching from above.

Thank you to the Hays County Commissioners Court for reappointing me for another two-year term as an emergency services commissioner on the board of the Hays County Emergency Services District #5. It has been an honor to serve the department, Kyle, and surrounding communities for the past 12 years.
