(2/3) Needless to say, Kat has done it again! What a book!

This is a story with so much heart wrapped up in an absolutely terrifying world. The title is so perfect for its content, but also, while reading, your soul will seep into these pages, and the story won't let you go without leaving a mark.
Where The Soul Goes by Katherine Silva is a story that gave me such an intense book-hangover that a full month after finishing it, I'm sitting down for the who-knows-what-number of time to try to write up my review, determined to get something down this time. (1/3)
The Brood by Rebecca Baum is a tale that will make your skin crawl in more ways than one…

Body horror fans, you have to check out The Brood. Ugh, I’m itchy and queasy just thinking about this tale (in the best way)! What a wild and intense ride this was!

(2/3) each tale will have readers on the edge of their seats!

I had the chance to read one of Kristin’s short stories in A Return to Survival Horror, and oh my, has that story stuck with me. When Kristin reached out to tell me she had a short story collection out, I was SO excited!
Dark Worlds We Wander by Kristin Kirby is a collection of fourteen short stories and one novella that all center around the theme of survival in one way or another. From post-apocalyptic scenes to things like something odd in a dryer and something that’s up with some tattoos... (1/3)

(4/4) Another was cell phone usage and the addiction that has trained us to fill every second with stimulation from our phones.

Go pick this up today! You’re going to want to read it in one sitting, but prepare yourselves for this wild journey!

Nothing Is Real by Kevin J. Kennedy | Book Review - Erica Robyn Reads
Nothing Is Real by Kevin J. Kennedy is this author's first non-horror tale that veers into some very dark existential territory.

(3/4) One of the spookier ones for me was TikTok and the use of algorithms to tailor content and how dangerous that can be, as we’re seeing it play out in real time over very scary topics here in 2025.
(2/4) So many topics are touched on. KJK has a killer way of taking everyday life elements and twisting them just slightly into something more intense when it calls for it, while leaving some things more surface-level in this book.
Song Dogs by Brennan LaFaro is another intense page-turner in the amazing Buzzard’s Edge Saga! Within these pages, readers will find more terrifying monsters, more nerve-racking shootouts, and some major character growth!

(2/3) I love the lore of the werewolf, but I always seem to struggle to find a good story about them. In this collection, I struggle to choose favorites! Every tale was so unique and absolutely wild in its own way.
Strange New Moons | Book Review - Erica Robyn Reads
Strange New Moons edited by Stephen Kozeniewski & Kayleigh Dobbs is a collection of werewolf tales where every tale is an adventure and full of the unexpected!

You could've at least warned me before tagging me in a review that's the equivalent of a direct hit from a carebear stare!

Seriously though, thank you so much! 😭 This book means a lot to me, so it's extra special when people enjoy it 💚
