I hate when doctor's offices ask you to pre-pay anything that isn't a copay. There is too much variability in what happens at an appointment or what my insurance may/may not cover. Just bill me an exact amount after. Don't ask me to give you some estimated amount of my money before you even see me.

I rushed to the office this morning stopping at the store along the way to pick up treats for an in-person meeting I carefully planned for my team (and scheduled over a month ago). Half the attendees aren't coming, so I am now trying to reschedule and am annoyed that I wasted time and money

Sorry to have missed the holiday tweetup #nolasky. If the weather had been dry yesterday, we would have had the shed done aleady and made it over. Hope it was a blast!

Sharing in case it helps others save $: My car registration was up for renewal. I got a notification saying I could renew in the LA Wallet app. Don't do that. They charge a $23 fee. The OMV website charges a $3 fee. (I expect there is a mailed check option, too, but our mails is screwy rn).

I was mid Teams call with my boss when a shutter slammed in that initial line of the storm. Scared the crap out of me. Fun new house things! (*adds shutter dogs to growing list of things needed for said house) 😬

Every post I've seen thus far about border patrol in the French Quarter has included pictures from anywhere but the French Quarter. I don't doubt they went there, but why post Poydras St?

If your office is running more than an hour behind, you can't call me 5 min before my appointment to tell me to come later. I was literally parking in your lot with my cat. 😾 We are both annoyed

SWBNO update! B called again yesterday and would not accept a non-answer as to when they were coming to address the sewage backup. The office sent someone with the water jet truck who cleared 2 blockages in the line that was deemed "not a problem" by the other guy. 🙄

Usually Chicory hides when we have company or host holidays, but today there were 8 around the table, and he realized he could get so many pets in such a small area. He was a social little guy! 😺🥰

The house is as put together as it can be for 2.5 weeks post move. Thankful for a dining room that can comfortably fit everyone today. The old house was really tight with a leaf in the table.
