Was out checking Monumental Inscriptions in a Berwickshire graveyard and met a lovely couple from USA. Lots of Berwickshire surnames in their family tree.
Visited Lochmaben yesterday. The library has a great wee local history section. The old churchyard has many local sandstone memorials in excellent condition even after 200 years.

This week's #ScottishChurchOfTheWeek is the historic wee kirk at Spott, East Lothian.

There has been a church here since at least the 14thC, but the current building is mainly late 18th early 19th. Still possesses its fine pulpit, numbered box pews and a punishment 'Joug Collar' at the door. (1/2)
