As a culture, we cling to the idea that more is better.

“More” means gaining, getting, and wealth.

On the other hand, “less” is usually seen as undesirable. Less means loss, lacking, giving up.

What if “more” isn’t what you need right now? Maybe you actually need less.
Grow more with less | The Organizer #31
Sometimes, you need to trim to grow. Personal growth shouldn’t just about adding -- it should also be about subtracting.

Measuring impact is a brave, clever, wonderful thing to do. When you measure impact, you show that you care more about making a difference than you do about being right.

Like any new habit, it can be hard to start measuring impact. Start simple. It’s worth it.

Interesting approach:

Struggling to make a difficult decision? Try comparing good with good, fears with fears. Skip weighing the pros and cons.

Fundraising can be an emotional experience.

To you, a fundraising target is more than a number. It’s a program, social change, a client’s well-being, or someone’s job.

That's why your fundraising process is such a superpower.

Publishing information online isn't as simple as "just post it to the website".

Your work matters, and search engines help you create impact. Search Engine Optimization should influence how you write, edit, and collaborate.

In the US, GoFundMe set up 1.4-million donation pages for charities without their knowledge or consent. The platform is collecting donations for organizations and issuing receipts on their behalf, charging processing fees and requesting "tips" along the way.

If you lead, you write.

If you fundraise, you write.

If you speak, you write.

If you report, you write.

Writing isn't just for "writers" in social impact work. It's the foundation for all social change.

The best #nonprofit leaders are often the ones who don’t crave power and didn’t set out to be “leaders”.

Why do you get asked for different versions of your impact report, when you've just created a great one?

Because people want to hear what you have to say!
