All 11 of my PDF guidebooks are finally updated... amazing how much can change in a year. Sure, they're all really good 😄 but I'm particularly proud of the following:
The day we can finally enjoy the patio after all this rain, & who gets to the chairs before we do?? #Tomi #patitas

Rafa reminded me that many years ago we'd be on a USA road trip right now & watching the Super Bowl half-time show from whatever bar we were at. Bad Bunny does nothing for me, but I loved his show. Made me feel proud of where I grew up... something that I haven't felt in a LONG time.

Did you know that Isabel de Portugal stopped by my small town on her way to marry Carlos V 500 years ago? Now you do 😉 www.endlessmile.com/el-pedroso-r...

Having a really good friend with a terminal illness is difficult enough, but wishing them happy birthday ---knowing it will be the last--- is not a feeling I ever thought I'd experience. Life can be so difficult.

We had a walk since the rain has stopped... for the moment #ElPedroso

The weather is beyond ridiculous... our local reservoir is under strict control not to go over 80% cuz they foresee more rain on the way, the Guadalquivir is about to overflow & now classes are cancelled. Madre mía 😮

Have always loved a good Godzilla movie, but Godzilla Minus One was crazy good... great visuals, period costumes & an interesting plot twist. Can't wait for the sequel this year!

Somehow my 2011 MacMini still works, except for the CD/DVD player. All Adobe software intact, none of that subscription tomfoolery... wish it was fast enough to use full-time #technostalgia

After more than a month of hibernation, our cauliflower, cabbage & broccoli are growing again! Small miracles for the February harvest #rurallife #ElPedroso

From start to finish, my experience making table olives with both gordal & manzanilla. The entire process is surprisingly not difficult, just takes a bit of time & patience: www.endlessmile.com/spain-aceitu... #Andalucía

Making preserved lemons is like capturing a big jar of sunshine... how are we supposed to wait for 3 weeks? 🍋🌞

Love it when they park big equipment at our train station #ElPedroso

The neighbor's cat climbs the wall every day, visits, plays, meows, gets his pets & uses our place as a vaycay getaway... but today it was all about naptime. A first for #Tomi

Got some gigantic níscalos from a neighbor, so I made a paella-style rice dish with them... also free range eggs from another neighbor, so of course a tortilla #rurallife #ElPedroso

This is amazing... 40 years ago! Erasmus = connections & in spite of all the mess going on right now, this should be in everyone's thoughts as well.
Hace 40 años, España entró en la Comunidad Económica Europea, y desde el principio se sumó a iniciativas pioneras como el programa Erasmus, uno de los más populares, pensado para reforzar la identidad europea de los jóvenes.

Got a call from the regional delegation that issues tour guide licenses: "Oh, we'd love to give you one because your English services would be of better quality since you're a native speaker... but you don't have a C1 certificate. And the law says you need a cert." #ffs

Having a great friend far away with a terminal illness is difficult... no matter how prepared you may think you are, getting that message with how little time is left is heartbreaking. Knowing is a gift, I guess. At least that's what I tell myself.

I'm not the type of person who automatically groans at every OS update, but damn, Tahoe is 100% awful. Who thought ALL rounded corners was a good idea? Why, why, why??

94 million tourists in 2024, 97 million last year... in a country of 49 million residents. I guess we're headed for 100 million now 🥴

Rafa found an AVE to Madrid for 9€, so today he saw Nativity scene figures by António Ferreira on display at the MAN... the detail is breathtaking.

A very standard harvest of 297 lemons 🍋 but only 16 oranges... I blame the April rain. Now donating & juicing begins!
