Gorillaz is really fascinating as a band originating to critique the culture of music at the time that eventually evolved into this beautiful thing. And truly it could be counted in some ways as vtubing. Though probably closer to cartoons.

We’ve always said that if streaming could be our full time thing we would love to but for now it’s a hobby. And we firmly reiterate again and again that it’s a hobby because we want to avoid that pressure to perform and turn a profit. We’re disabled, have a job, only so much we can do.
Every time I talk to my mom about my game designs, the first question she asks is "when are you going to sell them?"
