Arcane language expert/freelance translator for hire is one of her main "non WoL" RP hooks, which has only been relevant a handful of times, but it's fun.

The Echo puts reading & listening on easy mode, esp for languages not native to the planet, but to write/speak she learns the hard way!

Obviously she doesn't know Everything relevant to the story to start out - but she's an extremely quick learner & a pro at pattern recognition + a great ear for intonation and cadence etc. And a huge nerd (duh).

Aymeric is routinely baffled by the amount of books in their home he can't read.

idek how many languages Alyx can speak, read & write in, but it's a lot. Before the Scions her main source of income was freelance translation work. She still does it sometimes. Living languages, dead languages, pictographic languages - you got a weird tome or tablet you can't read? Let her at it.

oh forgot to mention. if i have a cucumber, i'm adding cucumber to the salad. this is extremely important bc 1. i fucking love cucumber and 2. extremely filling with practically no calories

I specified “half” on the first two bc the pasta I’m usually making for two and the salad bag I like to stretch to two meals (or more sometimes if I’m not super hungry)

I make the nuggets in the oven but I know they’re probably even better (and quicker) in an air fryer

- half a Trader Joe’s frozen pasta + chicken sausage
- half of one of those premade salad kits + impossible nuggies
- refried bean burrito w/ hot sauce

(to clarify: the video I was watching was detailing how it was an amazing tank for the laser turrets at the mage's tower bc it automatically deflects all projectiles. I would love to take advantage of this zombie frog for this purpose)
